The Artistic Journey of Sue E. Cowan and the Creaky Easel

Sue has been making art ever since she can remember and spends every day trying to improve herself as an artist by dedicating herself to a conscientious studio practice creating works for her collectors.

Sue lives near Grande Prairie, Alberta and is a professional artist and member of the Peace River Chapter of the Federation of Canadian Artists, successfully juried into several shows. She exhibits and sells her work in numerous venues, including:

  • Federation of Canadian Artists curated  National Gallery Exhibitions in Vancouver, British Columbia

  • Peace River Chapter of the Federation of Canadian Artists curated Gallery exhibitions

  • Beaverlodge Arts & Cultural Society Gallery

"When I lost my mother in 2016 I contacted Sue and gave her an idea of what I was looking for. I met Sue online and her work has always been breath taking. I gave her dimension and size told her I would like a red cardinal and snow. She superseded my expectations and brought my idea to life. Today the picture hangs in my cardinal corner a tribute to my mother. A beautiful red cardinal in a tree covered in snow with a stream in the background. The picture is still just as beautiful today as it was the day I received it. Well packaged for the travel to the United States and a beautiful card attached. She will do any future paintings I have."
